UNITY

Sometimes it can be heard that people have the leader they deserve and in the case of Cuba this seems partly fulfilled for different reasons. Within the very island, without referring to cowardice or lack of courage to face the dictatorship due to its tight steel repression, there exists a tendency of "becoming comfortable", an unnecessary double moral and an excessive humility before the dictator's chains, who knows if as the result of a mechanism of defense or adaptation, but anyhow the need to survive does not justify this excess and very often Cuban people may be thought of as non-patriotic or politically light-headed with little honor.

Leaders from the island's internal opposition suffer the consequences of a syndrome of distrust, mostly imposed by the very system and from the disease of not being prophets in their own land and never being reliable but all these kinds of evil are more strongly present and are observed with greater shades in exile. At the southeast of Florida, if Castro collapsed tomorrow, there would be many left without a job since just as Castro uses his enemy's currency to survive, right here many people are living on him and on the essence of his system.

Divisionism, on the other hand, has become a directly transmitted gene from General Vicente Garcia from the times of Spain and we, as good heirs, have thoroughly assimilated it and have crowned it with jealousy, envy, ambitions, antagonism, disagreement, lack of "team work", display of individual talents, creation of isolated groups opposing others, criticism to the neighbor's effort; "virtues" which are the Cuban Pharoah's joy and make up constant headlines of the political and social life of this special Cuban West Berlin.

It is very common to witness "matches" between those of Ninosca and the Cuban American Foundation, Joe Garcia against Diaz-Balart and to make matters even worse, inside the very island the controversy between Menoyo and Paya and this kind of atmosphere, far from helping obtain the freedom of Cuba, indirectly turns these people, all eager of the same objective, in involuntary allies of the Caribbean concentration camp.

Nobody believes in anybody and all think they have the absolute truth, but if they have read History, they must know that peoples around the world have always had a unique leader without exception of era or country at the time of fighting such battles in spite of democracy and of opinion differences since liberty is first and this main goal becomes a priority, which is preserved with the UNION of all those interested, which is the only key that can lead to victory.

To make this case sadder, support from North American administrations has been erratic and this factor together with all the previously exposed make these 45 years understandable and that the island may still deserve its leader.
