Review: One of the focal points in which the Cuban communist
regime bases its demagoguery is the plight of the working person. The
level of abuse and disregard for the working person in Cuba has reached
its zenith during Castro’s rule. In response to the mistreatment carried
out against the Cuban laborers, several independent and unofficial labor
unions have emerged to claim justice. Molinet Espino is engaged in the
new labor movement in Cuba. While in prison Molinet Espino has been
submitted to cruel punishment. His constant denouncements of the
government sponsored abuses on the working person caused the authorities
to extend his prison term for one more year. His wife has suffered a
nervous breakdown for which she had to be hospitalizad, as a result of
the injustices carried out against her husband.
