Review: Bárzaga Lugo was confined to a particular prison cell designed to punish prisoners. This prison cell is commonly referred to as ‘the hole’ . Bárzaga Lugo became disoriented to the point of losing any sense of time- whether it was day or night.
Bárzaga Lugo is a victim of ‘Law 88’ or the muzzle law which prohibits any dissent by cuban citizens. Bárzaga Lugo stands firm in his beliefs of freedom of speech and freedom of the press.
Cuba ranks among the top three countries with the most journalists in prison. Fidel Castro and his regime folllow the first two rules of oppression to the letter; 1) Quash freedom of expression 2) punish those who dare exercise their right to express themselves
