Librado Linares García is an electrical engineer by trade and presided the 11th Commission of the Concilio Cubano in 1996. He founded the Movimiento Cubano de Reflexión in 1998 and participated in the ‘Todos Unidos’ (All United) initiative. Librado Linares García has been a stalwart in his opposition to Castro’s Regime in and out of prison. Librado Linares García is the target of repeated abuses because he refuses to greet his captors with the obligatory military salute and to wear the uniform designated for prisoners in the general population.
