While in prison Efrén Fernández has been subjected to the same treatment other political prisoners have in years past. He has had to endured numerous prison transfers and solitary confinement based only on his captors’ whimsical or arbritary reasons. The refractory insistency of the Castro Regime to place cuban political prisoners among the general population of prisoners has raised many questions and denunciations by family members and human rights groups worldwide.
