Review: Among the 75 persons arrested during the government’s
crackdown in 2003, there are four who hail from Camagüey and Alejandro
González Raga is one of them. As an independent journalist for the El
Mayor press agency, González Raga denounced the abuses committed by
Castro’s government against its own citizens.
González Raga suffers from ailments stemming from the conditions the
Cuban prisoners of conscience are kept in and he is the victim of
physical abuse at the hands of his captors.
