TERRORISM
THREE AFGHANS ARRESTED IN CAYMAN ISLAND FROM CUBA
Afghanis, who are the subject
of an intensive investigation by US authorities, the Cayman's security
officials and now held in maximum security cells in H. M. Prison in
Northward, were previously imprisoned for 10 months beginning in August
2000 to May 2001.
They were ordered released by Grand Court Judge Henry following a
hearing of Habeas Corpus 'a writ issued in order to bring somebody who
was detained into court, usually for a decision on whether the detention
is lawful'.
They have been returned to prison and are presently being held in
custody following a letter written to Government by a local resident
implicating them with the disastrous terrorist attacks on the United
States of 11 September by "airline or airlines".
The full text of the Judgment of that case is at the end of this
edition.
