Liberals call
for the freedom of all political prisoners in Cuba.
HAVANA,

-- On March 20th, and under heavy police surveillance members of the
Cuban National Liberal Party remembered the fifth anniversary of the
arrests of the group of Cuban human rights activists known as the group
of the 75.
The event was officiated in the home of the members of the National
Secretariat of the PLNC, Jorge González Mesa and Maribel Macias Aguilar
located in Street 50 #25513 between Final Punta Brava, Municipality La
Lisa.
Eleven activists attended the event which had diverse speakers like
Havana vice delegate Fernando Morgar Palacio and delegate of the town of
Concepcion Miguel Morales Leyva, they both made presentations on the
events that lead to the 2003 wave of repression known as the Black
Spring when the regime afraid of the spaces already gained by the
pacific opposition, imposed long prison terms to decent, honorable and
pacific men whose only crime was their love for liberty and democracy
for their country.
At the end of the event the provincial vice delegate González Mesa,
urged activists to give loud cries of Freedom for all political
prisoners in Cuba!
