On March 26, at 8:00 in the morning the above mentioned opponents were heading to meet with a lawyer by the name of Ana Angelica when agents of the State Security detained them at the Street Capote corner with Figueredo in Bayamo.
.
The purpose of the meeting with the lawyer was to discuss her accusation that the independent newspaper “La Patria Libre” is illegal.

Both activists were taken to the police unit located at KM 2 ½ Road via Santiago de Cuba, where they were interrogated and mistreated. They kept them under arrest until March 27th, and around 11:00 AM of March 27th, they were released not before the police issued a written warning to each one, the second warning issued to the president of the CPIC.

Reporting from Bayamo to the Information Bridge Cuba Miami, Luis Daniel Silva Quintana, president of the College of Independent Teachers in Cuba and also an activist for “Plantados” until the Liberty and Democracy in Cuba. Translation: Puente Informativo Cuba Miami.
