RANCHUELO, CUBA - March 28 ( Felix Reyes Gutierrez/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)- A strong police operative took place on March 22nd, during the celebration of the Holy Saturday in Ranchuelo due to the presence of a well-known pacific opponent.

The police operative was prompted due to the presence of Guillermo Farina Hernandez, recipient of the Annual Prize Reports Without Borders of 2006, who went to the Santa Rosa de Lima’s Church accompanied by the dissident Julia Angela Martinez in the capacity of catholic sponsors to the pacific opponent Nancy Gonzalez Garcia who was baptized in the catholic faith along with other parishioners doctors, engineers and housewives.

The police operative was led by Colonel Jorge Rodriguez Cortez and Lieutenant Colonel Ruben Alvarez Perez, chief of the General Directorate General of Anti Intelligence (DGCI) and head of the Multidisciplinary Group DGIC in Villa Clara, respectively, they set up a command post in the theatre Prado, located in front of the church in question.

Father Yasley Gonzalez presided over the Mass that ended around 11 pm. Farinas Hernandez said: "The State Security knew that my presence here in Ranchuelo was that of a religious nature and the excessive show of force merely served to manipulate the minds of those who were followers of the regime”.
