Strong police operative
on Holy Saturday in Ranchuelo.
RANCHUELO, CUBA - March 28 ( Felix

A strong police operative took place on March 22nd, during the
celebration of the Holy Saturday in Ranchuelo due to the presence of a
well-known pacific opponent.
The police operative was prompted due to the presence of Guillermo
Farina Hernandez, recipient of the Annual Prize Reports Without Borders
of 2006, who went to the Santa Rosa de Lima’s Church accompanied by the
dissident Julia Angela Martinez in the capacity of catholic sponsors to
the pacific opponent Nancy Gonzalez Garcia who was baptized in the
catholic faith along with other parishioners doctors, engineers and
housewives.
The police operative was led by Colonel Jorge Rodriguez Cortez and
Lieutenant Colonel Ruben Alvarez Perez, chief of the General Directorate
General of Anti Intelligence (DGCI) and head of the Multidisciplinary
Group DGIC in Villa Clara, respectively, they set up a command post in
the theatre Prado, located in front of the church in question.
Father Yasley Gonzalez presided over the Mass that ended around 11 pm.
Farinas Hernandez said: "The State Security knew that my presence here
in Ranchuelo was that of a religious nature and the excessive show of
force merely served to manipulate the minds of those who were followers
of the regime”.
