They retaliated against
the wife of a political prisoner.
SANTA CLARA, CUBA - March 21 (Yoel
Espinosa Medrano, Cubanacan Press /Puenteinfocubamiami.org)-
On March 17, authorities at the "Guamajal Prison for Men” in the
province of Villa Clara, retaliated against Reina Margarita Espinosa
Marin, wife of political prisoner Osvaldo Diaz Ricardo Sanchez .
Espinosa Marin told this reporter that about 7:00 am of the above
mentioned date, she showed up at the prison for a scheduled family
visit, but a guard by the name of Carlitos did not allow her inside
until after 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
Reina Margarita demanded to see her husband several times but the
officer kept telling her that visits to political prisoners, were always
a matter of the State Security.
“Prison guards torture prisoners and also their families, I needed
medical assistance on my way back home, because I suffer from
hypertension and diabetes”, finished saying the source of this
information.
