Manuel Antonio Sanchez Rodriguez, held in the cell # 7 of the police unit, reported that about 2 a.m. three guards led Zerquera Miranda to a corridor on the compound and they punched and kicked him before leading him into a cell.

Jose Miguel Rodriguez, an inmate at the compound eye witnessed the beating given to dissident Cantero Marin by a couple of members of the National Revolutionary Police who used billy clubs to brutally attack the dissident.

Similarly, Marin Borges, who suffers from schizophrenia, received a savage beating at the police station because he was arrested at a Cuban beach designed only for tourists, located between La Boca and Ancon in Trinidad.

According to Benita Lidia Miranda, mother of Duanys Gilberto a Major at the police station refused to allow her to see her son and informed her that he along with his friends were going to be charged with the supposed crime of “contempt”.
