Cuban State
Security Deceives Political Prisoner.

- The political prisoner Miguel Diaz Bouza was deceived by the Cuban
State Security in the prison "La Pendiente¨, Santa Clara, because they
have promised for over a year to allow him to see his ailing mother and
to date they have not done so.
In a letter sent to this press agency, Diaz Bouza said: "Officer Asley
Rodriguez, a member of the State Security at the prison tells me that in
the coming days I will see my mother, but for he’s been saying the same
thing for the last 14 months but my mother is very ill and she cannot
visit me.
The prisoner noted that his mother Magalis Bouza is 87 years old,
resides in Caibarien, a town about 50 kilometers from the prison. She
has a pacemaker, suffers from senile dementia and has to be transported
in a wheelchair. The doctor who tends to Mrs. Bouza said that a trip to
see her son in jail would be fatal for her and prison and authorities do
not allow him to go see his mother.
Miguel Diaz Bauza is 65 years old, and a resident of the United States.
He was arrested in 1994, when he entered Cuban soil clandestine. He was
intercepted and was tried and sentenced to 25 years in jail for the
supposed crimes Against the State.
