Cuban State Security Deceives Political Prisoner.

SANTA CLARA, CUBA - April 21 (Yoel Espinosa Medrano, Cubancan Press / Puenteinfocubamiami.org) - The political prisoner Miguel Diaz Bouza was deceived by the Cuban State Security in the prison "La Pendiente¨, Santa Clara, because they have promised for over a year to allow him to see his ailing mother and to date they have not done so.

In a letter sent to this press agency, Diaz Bouza said: "Officer Asley Rodriguez, a member of the State Security at the prison tells me that in the coming days I will see my mother, but for he’s been saying the same thing for the last 14 months but my mother is very ill and she cannot visit me.

The prisoner noted that his mother Magalis Bouza is 87 years old, resides in Caibarien, a town about 50 kilometers from the prison. She has a pacemaker, suffers from senile dementia and has to be transported in a wheelchair. The doctor who tends to Mrs. Bouza said that a trip to see her son in jail would be fatal for her and prison and authorities do not allow him to go see his mother.

Miguel Diaz Bauza is 65 years old, and a resident of the United States. He was arrested in 1994, when he entered Cuban soil clandestine. He was intercepted and was tried and sentenced to 25 years in jail for the supposed crimes Against the State.
