Prisoners
in hunger strike at Kilo 8 prison were transferred to punishment cells.

KILO 8 PRISON, CAMAGUEY - March 9 (Leoncio Rodriguez Ponce/www.Puenteinfocubamiami.org)-
Today, February 25, several prisoners
were taken to punishment cells in the isolations section of the second
floor of the prison.
They are all in a hunger strike, demanding among other things, that
their insular exile be suspended and they are sent back to their
province.
There is no confirmation yet if these prisoners belong to the group that
were moved from Havana due to the Summit of the Non Aligned.
Their names are:
Carlos Luis Díaz Fernández, Luis Wilfredo Martínez Cordero, Lamberto
Hernández Plana, Nelson Vázquez Lima, Leoncio Rodrigo Ponce, Juan Carlos
Herrera Acosta and José Daniel Ferrer García.
Informed over the telephone from the first phase of major severity in
the prison Kilo 8 in Camaguey for the Information Bridge Cuba Miami, the
political prisoner Leoncio Rodríguez Ponce. Given on the 8th of March of
2007, with the Collaboration of Plantados Hasta la Libertad y La
Democracia en Cuba.
