CUBAN MEMORIAL PRESS CONFERENCE

The organizing committee of the Cuban Memorial would like to invite the various means of communications to a PRESS CONFERENCE announcing the inauguration of the fifth Cuban Memorial. The PRESS CONFERENCE will take place on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, at 12 noon at Tamiami Park, 11201 S.W. 24 Street (entrance on 112 Avenue). Some of the relatives of the victims will be in attendance and they will share brief personal testimony with those present. During this act, "The Torch of Grief," will be lit and will stay so until the Memorial closes on Sunday.

This will be the beginning of three days of remembrance where more than 10,000 white crosses bearing the names and dates of death of the victims will pay tribute to the thousands killed under the communist regime of Fidel Castro. Relatives and friends of those shot by a firing squad, fallen dead while in prison, lost at sea or in the air as in the downing of the Brothers to the Rescue planes will come to visit and place a flower, a picture, or simply pray before the inmaculate white cross bearing the name of the beloved one.

We will appreciate the attendance of all means of communications to this PRESS CONFERENCE to bring to light this beatiful and pious act.
