New Independent Project
Houses in Zones of Silence Listen to Radio Martí.

(HAVANA/ CUBA/October 12/Puenteinfocubamiami.org) -
In order that our town knows the work the internal opposition in Cuba, the support which we received from our brothers in exile, as well as the violations of the human rights that are committed, fundamentally against the opponents to the regime of Fidel Castro, this project is made public today.

This Project has been welcomed with great enthusiasm by residents of several Municipalities and we plan to extend it through out the Island, fundamentally to the most remote areas of the Cuban territory.

The Project Houses in Zones of Silence Listen to Radio Martí was created with the objectives of filling in the information gap generated by more than four decades of censorship established by the Cuban Government; to inform our people of the work of the internal opposition in Cuba as well bring awareness of the human rights violations in Cuba.

Towards that end, a group of citizens will meet in these houses at least once a week to listen to Radio Martí. A debate will take place after listening to the project in order to give an opportunity for the participants to voice their opinions.

This project is another civil disobedience act and the number of Houses participating in the project will increase through out the the National territory.
