They denounce inefficiencies in State companies in the Isle of Youth.

(ISLE OF YOUTH/CUBA/November 16/Puenteinfocubamiami.org) -
The inefficiency in the State run companies in the Isle of Youth has provoked a widespread dissatisfaction among the residents in a region with a population estimated at 56 thousand people.

It is not the first time that such deficiencies has been informed to delegates of the Popular Power, but their reply is that the solution is not in their hands.

The deficiency in the public health services, sewer systems, communal, gastronomy, and the agriculture has been denounced in more than 100 neighborhood assemblies in the Isle of Youth during the process of accountability of the administration of the Popular Power.

The lack of physicians, the unsolvable crisis of the public bus services, the instability of the production of alimentary products for the population, and the lack of drinking water, have been the center of popular accusations.

The local government has placed the blame on the Embargo and on damages caused by the hurricanes Isidoro and Lilly, which affected this territory on October and November of 2003.

Reporting for the Information Bridge Cuba Miami and Net For Cuba International Carlos Serpa Maceira correspondent for LUX-INFO-PRESS. Given on the 12th day of November 2004.
