Imprisoned Cuban independent worker confined with common prisoners.

(HAVANA/CUBA/November 9/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)-
After being more than 60 days in a punishment cell at the prison Kilo 8 in Pinar del Río, the independent worker Nelson Moline Espino, sentenced to 20 years, was transferred to a unit with common prisoners at the prison Kilo 5 ½ , located in the same province, pointed out relatives of the dissident.

"They had him locked in a punishment cell for over 60 days for refusing to follow military orders and refusing to eat food served in prison, now they take him back with the penal population confined with common prisoners even though he is a political prisoner and was recognized a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International"- pointed out to Lux-Info-Press Kirenia Guerra Lugo, wife of the dissident.

Arrested on March 20, 2003, tried and sentenced to 20 years in a summary trial in April of the same year, the 40 year old president of the Cuban Democratic Confederation of Workers with the acronym (CTDC), Nelson Moline Espino has been a victim of physical aggressions, death threats and his personal property has been stolen by common prisoners.

Lux-Info-Press correspondents and collaborators in the Island call on the attention of the International Public Opinion and seek intervention from all institutions and personalities of good will in the World, before the Cuban government on behalf of the imprisoned independent workers in Cuba.
