A Support Group for the Ladies in White was created in Havana.

In an Executive meeting at the provincial headquarters in Havana of the Pro Human Rights Party of Cuba affiliated to the Andrei Sajarov Foundation which took place on celebrated on October 20, 2004, it was voted in favor of the creation of a Group in Solidarity with the Ladies in White, informed to Acción Democrática Cubana Luis González Medina, Coordinator in Havana of the Pro Human Rights Party of Cuba , affiliated to the Andrei Sajarov Foundation.

In the meeting it was approved by all present to dedicate one day to each of the Cuban political prisoners so that the population can be aware as to the situation with each one of them. Not only with the situation of the group of the 75 prisoners of conscience recently sentenced but with the more than 300 political prisoners, presently serving time in the Cuban jails.

This project is planned to be extended to the 19 Municipalities in the County Of Havana, in an effort to have it expanded to the rest of the Island, it was accorded to start the work for the month of December remembering the political prisoners Doctor Oscar Elías Biscet and also Ricardo Silva.

Heading the Support Group are: Delfín Rodríguez Hernández, as president, Luis González Medina as coordinator, Luz María Barceló Padrón heading attention to political prisoners and as Executive Secretary Laura Jucino Fernández.
