A contestatary cinema cycle began in the Isle of Pines
(NUEVA GERONA/December 19/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)-
A series of historical documentaries sponsored by the Cultural Civic
Project "Julio Tang Texier", began in the Isle of Pines in solidarity
with the campaign of "Freedom without exile for the Cuban Political
prisoners.
The first documentary played was "The Spring of Cuba", which lasted 30
minutes that depicts the difficult life of the opposition and the events
that transpired with the 75 prisoners of the spring of Cuba.
Lux Info Press also confirmed that the documentary ones will be
exhibited: "At the Edge of the Machete", "Voices from the island of
Liberty", "A Place without Souls", "I saw them Leave", "The overthrow of
a Dictator", among others.
The Civic Project Cultural Julio Tang Texier, was founded on August of
2003, with the objective of showing the population via documentaries the
true reality of the events that have transpired in our Nation as well as
the human rights violations and the arbitrary imprisonment of the Cubans
promoting political changes, thereby demonstrating why is so important
to support the campaign for the liberation of more than 300 political
prisoners and that of conscience throughout the Island.
