The forgotten activist was released from the Guantanamo Prison.

(HAVANA/CUBA/December 3/Puenteinfocubamiami.org) -
Migdalia Hernández Enamorado, the 35 year old forgotten activist and a member of the group of the 75 was released from the prison Combinado de Guantánamo for women last November 12, 2004 ( date confirmed by Plantados)- declared Ada Kaly Márquez Abascal, National Delegate in Function of the Democratic Party November 30 "Frank País".

Agents of the State Security arrested Hernández Enamorado and her husband Rafael Benitez Chui on March 19, 2003, when they protested the regime's 2003 crackdown against the Cuban internal opposition in front of the local police headquarters in Guantanamo. Immediately thereafter, they were both sent to the prison Combinado de Guantánamo.

On September 18, 2003, Hernández Enamorado and Benitez Chui were tried for the supposed crime of contempt and were sentenced to 2 and 4 years in prison respectively.

Hernández Enamorado left three daughters under the care of her mother. They are: Aurelis years old, Lissi 12 and Migdalia 10 years old.

Upon her mother's arrest, Aurelis denounced to the World that every Sunday her small sisters would stand in front of the prison until the guards allowed them to their mother from a distance for about 5 minutes. She also pointed out that there were times when their mother was not allowed to come out to the prison yard, those times her sisters stayed outside the prison crying until nightfall.

Migdalia Hernández Enamorado, a mother of three girls, the youngest only 10 years old, is the forgotten activist of the group of the 75, for even though her case has been properly documented as one of the two women arrested in the 2003 crackdown against members of the Cuban Civil Society, her name has seldom been mentioned in connection with said group and very little was done in her case" - pointed out Daisy Gil Ortiz, a Director of Net For Cuba International.

Reported for the Information Bridge Cuba Miami and Net For Cuba International Ada Kaly Marquez Abascal, National Delegate in Function of the Democratic Party November 30 "Frank Pais", given on the 3rd day of December of 2004.
