The Cuban Memorial’s organizing committee launches publicity campaign

Miami/Florida December 31, 2003. (www.netforcuba.org) Mr. Renato Gomez, the General Coordinator has informed us that the organizing committee for the Cuban Memorial has launched a promotional campaign. The objective of the campaign is to create local and international awareness about the Cuban Genocide carried out by Fidel Castro and his regime.

Two weeks ago in Miami, a gigantic billboard was erected overlooking the intersection of 42 Avenue (Le Jeune Rd) and 11 Street S.W. The billboard’s heading reads ‘Victimas de Fidel Castro’ and it depicts an image of the defiant Cuban dictator overlooking a panoramic photograph of the first annual Cuban Memorial. The billboard also provides detailed information regarding the upcoming Cuban Memorial in Miami, Florida next February 2004.

The promotional campaign also extends to other sections of South Florida by means of advertisements placed in bus bench stations, buses, community centers and businesses.
Presently, the advertisements are located in the following sites:
· US 1 Biscayne Boulevard & 11th St - Face A
· Mac Arthur Cwy & Parrot Jungle - Face A
· Mac Arthur Cwy & Watson Island - Face A
· 12 Ave S.W. & 2nd St (E) - Face A
· 12 Ave S.W. 8 St - Face A
· Le June N.W. 42 Ave & 11th St N.W. (836 Exit)
· 8 St. S.W. & 31 Ct - Face A

In the weeks leading to the Second Annual Cuban Memorial the organizing committee has authorized the placement of more advertisements in print, radio and television.

The organizing committee is also putting into action a fund raising campaign with the assistance of community organizations, Cuban exiled groups and the general public.
Notwithstanding all those persons who would like to cooperate with this noble cause should send their contributions to:

The right to life is an inalienable right of each person. The Cuban Genocide has taught us that for Fidel Castro and members of his regime human life is meaningless.

‘One is guilty of all abjection that one does not help to relieve. Only those who spread treachery, fire, and death out of hatred for the prosperity of others are undeserving of pity.’ Jose Marti
IT IS TIME FOR CUBA NOW!
